Drew Button is two today.
I started my morning reminiscing about Drew’s delivery and my past two years with this sweet boy.
A little about my two year old:
- He is super cuddly and always willing to give hugs and kisses.
- He loves getting messy. This is such a shift from my oldest.
- He loves cars, both the movie and the toys.
- He is excitable and...
An afternoon at Lucy & Leo’s Cupcakery.
It has been a week since Valentine’s Day, and I’m just now getting around to telling you about it. Forgive me. And pretend to enjoy our day a week later.
I was pretty impressed with the healthiness of our Heart Day snack.
And it was so fun to make “Fruit Babobs” (as Drew calls them). I loved listening to him talk about “Fruit Babobs” (I’m...
Simple Pleasures
This weekend, we enjoyed the little things:
cupcakes
time with friends
and each other
flying kites
not to mention, plenty of walks, messes, and dancing. A few meltdowns, a good movie, and lots of fun.
I promise we’re Lincoln fans.
It’s just that the Leon track is so close…and so much fun.
Go Trojans.

What have we been up to lately?
Glad you asked.
We’ve been dancing.
Running.
Eating sweets.
And enjoying baseball.
Piggy-back riding.
Paper writing (last semester of grad school!!!).
And have I mentioned all the sweets we eat? I’m currently trying to get back on a no sugar diet. I felt better without my sugar addiction. Oh, sugar!

#11 Try pad thai
I did it.
It was delicious!
I cannot wait to eat it again.
Sadly, due to another list item (not eating out for three months) this may not happen again anytime soon.
Giving the boys a bath each night is a joy for me. It is always one of my favorite times of the day.
I love the joy that soap bubbles, foam letters, bath Cars characters, and color tablets can bring.
I love, love, love bathtime!
Luke, however, is over me trying to capture each evenings fun with photos. No pictures please mom please.
Oh, the places we've gone.
It has been a super busy last few weeks. Life has been full, and not particularly healthy, which makes things even more exhausting.
But we have not let coughs, ear infections, and mucus of many colors slow us down.
We played in Atlanta with the cousins and family. The boys loved the aquarium.
And the tractors too.
I went on a road trip with this crew:
And saw the Avett...

Busy Season
We are getting closer and closer to Christmas. It has been so enjoyable to have little helpers this year.
They continue to help me shop (I enlist others helpers too when possible):
And help me at the post office (remembering that two boys, plus boxes, plus many rushed and impatient people makes the post office a most difficult task. Perhaps one of the most difficult tasks with little...
Christmas continues to take over our afternoon fun. Everywhere we turn there is something Luke wants.
I am so grateful for the cell phone wish list. It saves me from tears, screams, and spending tons of dollars.
And we’re still wrapping. It is the never ending job. Every time I think I’m done and put all the supplies away, something new appears that needs to be wrapped.

I don’t often do a review, but I was so impressed with Drew’s hair cut experience.
It was so fun. The decor is adorable: childish, clean, and sweet. It was full of toys, books, and even movies. And Suzi was wonderful and did a great job.
And Drew left even more adorable than he started.
This is what Jeremy is teaching my youngest.
